Mysterious Galaxy:
"As good as my experiences have been with the big chain
bookstores, you have to love the intimacy and personality of an
independent. And Mysterious Galaxy is one of the best. Bright store,
friendly staff, all around great atmosphere. If you find yourself in
the San Diego area and enjoy reading science fiction, fantasy,
mystery, or horror, you owe it to yourself to check them out.
While many bookstores feature author events once a month, or
maybe once a week, MG features them almost nightly. The list of
those who have passed through this store is exhaustive—a
veritable "who's who" of writers. It was a bit daunting, actually,
to join their ranks, but the staff is so well-versed in hosting
these things that they made me feel right at home.
Of course, my humble thanks go out to those readers who took the
time to come out and meet me. Always a pleasure to speak
face-to-face with those who have enjoyed my work. And I owe a great
big debt of appreciation to Patrick (Go Gators!) and Sam for the
warm welcome—and for staying
late, despite their post-Comic-Con hangover. Hope to do it again
with the next book."
